MOAZZAM KHAN FOUNDATION
Strive today for a better tomorrow – this has been the driving force that led to the establishment of Moazzam Khan Foundation. Over the period of years, Khan came to realise that the very life flow of his work were the many skilled artisans and craftsmen, who burned the midnight oil to breathe life into his creations. These craftsmen who came to him with little, to no training, or experience have honed their skills over the years and are now masters of their craft. Yet, they could not alleviate the poverty and improvised status of their families. Coming from rural backgrounds primarily, their focus has been to earn their livelihood to provide for their families back home – some of whom lack even the most basic necessities of life.
Keeping these factors in mind, Moazzam Khan has worked tirelessly with his team to establish a body that would not only look out after the interests of these crafstmen, but also take measured and effective steps to ensure that they are able to improve their famillies’ living conditions.
Moazzam Khan currently employs approximately 1400 – 1450 skilled and semi-skilled craftsmen, that are working in various workshops and set-ups scattered across Karachi and parts of Southern Punjab.

The foundation has also seen to the fact that these craftsmen should hold all the necessary skills required to find suitable work elsewhere if and when they decide to leave/relocate, in order to be closer to their families, since most cannot afford to bring their families to the urban cities due to financial constraints. This is done with the idea of ensuring that these craftsmen can acquire gainful employment easily within the fashion industry, since skilled craftsmen are always in demand.

Incorporating our brand into the diverse and relatively saturated fashion market required not just a lot of effort and hard work, but also creativity, ingenuity and a burning passion to create something lasting and beautiful. Creating apparels that would delight any prospective bride is what brings us real joy. On parallel, we also aimed to uplift and improve the living standards of our semi-skilled laborers by providing them with the opportunity to hone their skills and to allow them room to explore their creativity and aesthetic sense. At Moazzam Khan Studios, we believe in cultivating human potential. The ultimate goal is to establish ourselves as a force to be reckoned with in the Pakistani fashion and couture industry. We aim to promote the cultural aspects of our ethnic handwork embroidery on the international front; hence, traditional elements are very visible in each of our ensembles. We are what we do. Excellence therefore is not a singular incidence but a habit that we have been cultivating over decades.
